Christopher Jerome
Born on March 22, 1961 in Portland, Maine
Education:

A two-year schoolboy All-State front courtster for Cheverus High, Jerome has rolled up a lengthy list of honors in his four0year course.

From his freshman season on, 6'4" forward Jerome led Ray Bicknell's Polar Bears to a 63-47 record (four winner seasons), and in the past two campaigns to the college's only two ECAC tournament appearances.

Jerome set Bowdoin records in games played at 90 and rebounds at 891. His 1,609 points scored are second only to Polar Bear predecessor Gregg Fasulo's 1,663. He averaged 17.2 points and 9.9 rebounds a game.

Jerome's hefty list of honors includes: two state of Maine and four CBB All-Star selections; Bowdoin's first ECAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman; three times ECAC New England Division III All-Star; thrice NABC All-New England; first team Academic All-New England and third team Academic All-American along with ECAC New England Division III Player of the Year (Bowdoin's first ever) this past season.

A 3.2 student and Welch Scholarship holder (including graduate school support), he anticipates a career in insurance or financial management.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
