Rossignol is a four-year honor student and a member of the National Honor Society, with a grade point average of 3.2.
He has been elected captain of the soccer, basketball, and baseball teams, and lettered in varsity volleyball as well. He was the Most Valuable Player on the freshman basketball team, winning the most improved trophy as a varsity player the following year. He was named Most Valuable Player in his junior and senior years and named to the All-Tourney team in Class B as a junior.
All-State in soccer, he led the team to an Eastern Maine Class B Championship. He also won the most valuable tophy in baseball, and has been named to the All-Aroostook team in all three sports.
Rossignol, the son of John Rossignol of Van Buren, has been high school representative on the local parish council for three years. Ranked 17th in a class of 107, he has been accepted at the University of Maine at Orono, and has also applied to Bowdoin College. He is described as an "outstanding student ... exhibits excellent character, moral and leadership qualities ... is well respected by his peers and faculty alike."

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
