Noel is ranked #1 in her class of 172 with a GPA of 98.84. She has been accepted to attend Yale University (Early Decision) with a major in Biomedical Engineering. She is the daughter of Alan and Linda Beagle.
Noel served as Captain of her Rams Soccer, Basketball ('99 State Champions) and Track teams during her career at Gorham High School and was her team's MVP in each of those sports. In Basketball she became Gorham's all-time leading scorer (over 1,000 points), garnering several awards, including The Bob Butler Western Maine Conference MVP Award and the Mike Direnzo Western Class B Tournament Player Sportsmanship Award, and was named to the Portland Press Herald and McDonald's All-State teams. But, as her coaches attest, she will quickly and quietly deflect the spotlight from herself to her teammates in the true spirit of sports. In Track she is the defending State Champion in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x400m Relay and finished 7th in the 200m at the 1999 New England Championship at Brown University. "She sets high standards for herself and is willing to go above and beyond the normal workout standards to attain her goals."
Outside of athletics Noel has achieved several academic honors while also participating in various extracurricular activities. She is President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Student Council, and is a member of Concert Band (French Horn). She has received the Smith Book Award, DAR Good Citizen Award and the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Award. "Noel embodies the virtues of compassion, integrity, fortitude, and justice. She treats all of her peers with equal consideration."
