Chantal is ranked #9 in her class of 245 with a GPA of 95.23. She has been accepted to attend Lehigh University with a major in Education. She is the daughter of Richard and Diane St. Laurent.

Chantal was captain of her Blue Devils Basketball team and twice captain of the Soccer and Tennis teams. In soccer she was named to the Class A All-Star team and was a Telegram All-State selection. She also received the Player/Sportswoman of the Year award from the Western Maine Board of Soccer Officials. In tennis she helped her team acquire the 1999 State Champion­ship. In Basketball she has been an All-State selection for the past two years and has received a full basketball scholarship to Lehigh. "The first words that come to mind to describe Chantal are determined. driven, conscientious, and kind. She is a first rate youngster who will be a success undoubtedly in the future."

She is a member of the National Honor Society, S.A.D.D., President of the L-Club (community service), and has received the Williams Book Award, the Lewiston Shining Star Award, and the Lewiston-Auburn Sports Hall of Fame President's award. "Chantal exemplifies ability, constructive attitude, and definite commitment to excel at individual performance."

Our Mission

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
