Robert White

Robert White has served in many capacities in sports including: soccer official, Little League official, athletic director, soccer official at state and national level for 36 years, Soccer Board Rules Interpreter at state and national level for 25 years, and several presentations at National Levels.

Also, Officer in National Federation Officials Association since 1992 and involved with the Caribou Little League 1978-'97. He has officiated more than 1,000 soccer games at middle school, high school, and collegiate levels since 1967.

White has received a Service to Maine Youth Award from the Principal's Association in year 2000. White has also received numerous service awards.

In 1997 he was inducted into the University of Maine at Presque Isle Sports Hall of Fame for his contributions to the game of soccer in the State of Maine.

He was awarded the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association NISOA Interscholastic Award for "Contributions to our association and the interscholastic game."

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
