Jon Presby
Born on September 16, 1985 in Portland, Maine
Education:
Deering High School

Jon received the 2003 Gerry Raymond award (best lineman in western Maine). He was a member of the 2003 state championship team. Deering football awarded him the Hitman Award for best hit throughout his freshman and senior years. He was two-time co-captain (2002-'03). He was All-Conference his junior and senior years. Mr. Presby made All State second team offensive line in 2002 and first team in 2003. He was a member of the 2002 and 2003 state championship track team. He maintained honor roll academics throughout high school. He was All Academic 2003 and received Deering High All-Academic throughout high school. Junior year Jon was class president. He received the Ram Pride Award in 2003 (Deering High Football MVP). Recently he was a selection for the 2004 Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl. Jon plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy in the fall or 2004. He intends to major in Marine Engineering Technology. Jon is also continuing his football career at MMA. Jon is the son or William R. and Anne M. Presby.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
