A multi-sport athlete at Brewer High School, Ryan Nadeau has participated in soccer, golf, ice hockey, and tennis during his four years at the school. A versatile performer, Ryan was named All-Conference in golf as a sophomore before making the switch to soccer for his junior year. Ryan was named to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference first team All-Stars in soccer as a senior and was also an All-Academic selection. He served as the captain of the Witches in 2008.
Ryan has emerged as one of the top ice hockey players in Eastern Maine. He played forward for the state championship Brewer ice hockey squad as a sophomore. During his junior year he was promoted to the Witches' top line and was a second team All-State pick by the Maine Class A Hockey Association. As a senior he was a second team KVAC All-Star and was named by the Maine Class A Hockey Association as a first team All-State player. That same group named Ryan as an All-State academic performer.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Ryan has been an active student in the Brewer High School community. He has been a regular volunteer to several school and community organizations, including the Bangor Homeless Shelter, the Brewer Recreation Department, and his church. Ryan is a member of the National Honor Society, and participated with the Key Club for two years.
Ryan has a career average of 97.057 and ranks fourth in his class of 187 students. He will continue his education at the University of Maine in Orono where he hopes to major in engineering. He is the son of Ken and Brenda Nadeau and resides in Brewer.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
