A three-sport performer at Bonny Eagle High School, Alyssa Dunn has participated in field hockey, ice hockey, and softball. Alyssa is a three-year varsity starter in the Bonny Eagle field hockey program. She was named to the Southwestern Maine Activities Association All-Star Team as a junior and a senior and was a conference all-academic selection last fall. The Scots' MVP in 2006, the talented midfielder was a member of two Western Maine Class A championship squads and an SMAA championship team.
Alyssa is a four-year starter for the Bonny Eagle varsity ice hockey team. A standout at defense, she was named an all-conference selection as a senior and her team's all-academic selection three times. Alyssa was instrumental in the turnaround of the Bonny Eagle ice hockey program that had a school-record fifteen wins in 2006-2007. She also is an infielder for the Scots' softball team and was named a second team SMAA all-star as a junior.
In addition to her contributions in athletics, Alyssa is active in other areas of school life as well. She was named to the National Honor Society as a sophomore and was that group's secretary this year. She was elected to the Student Council on two occasions and served as secretary. Alyssa has been a member of the Bonny Eagle T-Cell Team, the Prom Committee, and Project Graduation. For three years she has been active in instrumental music and has played saxophone for the concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band, and pep band.
Alyssa demonstrates excellence in the classroom as well. She has a career grade point average of 4.0 and ranks fifth in her class of 308. Alyssa plans to attend St. Joseph's College in the fall with a major in education. Alyssa is the daughter of Cynthia Spaulding of Standish.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
