One Team: The Story of the Lewiston High School Blue Devils

The Lewiston High School boys soccer team is comprised of players from six different countries, with a majority being African Immigrants that fled refugee camps in hopes for a better life. The story looks at how soccer has shaped the immigrant population as well as how the immigrant population has shaped a Coach and a community.

Maine Sports Hall of Fame 2016 Scholar Athletes Named!

Each year the Maine Sports Hall of Fame continues its mission to make "A Better Maine Through Sport" by awarding 5 of Maine's most outstanding high school senior Scholar Athletes with $5000 scholarships. This year we received over 200 applications from extraordinary students across the State of Maine. Our task to choose just 5 Scholars out of this talented group was extremely difficult.

Hockey Legend John "Jack" Kelley leads 2016 Class of MSHOF Inductees!

Kelley leads Maine Sports Hall of Fame inductees who’ve made A Better Maine Through Sport!

John “Jack” Kelley, a U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer who coached the Colby College men's ice hockey team, guided Boston University to two national titles, led the Hartford Whalers to an AVCO Cup and was president of the Pittsburgh Penguins, leads the Maine Sports Hall of Fame 2016 induction class.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
